"We worked with Kristen at HAVN Design Studio when we decided to renovate our house. This was a daunting task as our house was built in the 1920s and had never been updated! In addition to making the house beautiful and (a little) more modern, we wanted to accommodate wheelchair-bound family members. We were completely stuck, but Kristen knew what to do. She helped us understand the structure of our house. She knew where to tear down walls, and where to keep and even extend them. She advised us on how to layout our kitchen, and whether to add small flourishes like built-in bookcases based on our tastes and needs. And she figured out how to add an accessible bathroom in a small home, while keeping costs to a minimum. Now our small house feels roomy, modern, and perfectly fit to our tastes.
